This year be prepared for a weekend of meditation and prayer as we go deeper into scripture. We will read portions of scripture as a whole and meditate on these scriptures to see what God is speaking to each of us through them. To prepare for this weekend, read Matthew, and I and II Peter.

We will have an overnight prayer vigil on Friday and Saturday nights. You will need to sign up for at least one hour-long prayer session on Friday or Saturday night between 10 PM and 7 AM. Depending on how many men attend, you may need to sign up for one hour on both nights. We will be looking for three men for each hour of the vigil. During your hour, you and the other men scheduled with you will

read assigned scriptures and pray, interceding for the men in attendance at the MMR and various other

requests assigned.

We will also be needing 5 or 6 men to sign up for the preparation, serving, and cleanup of each meal. As usual, there will be four meals: breakfast, lunch, and supper on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Items you need to bring in addition to your normal overnight kit:

1. Bible

2. Journal and / or notebook

3. Pens or pencils

4. Prayer aids (rosary, chaplet, chotki, prayer rope, candles, incense, or whatever else you may use

as an aid to prayer)
